Where can I get my share of the mortgage bailout funds? My home was overvalued by bank of america and I am going to be foreclosed on, not to mention, I am in texas and there is a law that you can not have a (home equity) loan higher than 80% of the value.
Bigtodda–YUP. I am making my payments on time. But hell if I could get my house paid off, why not try it! I am going to be paying for it through my taxes, and so are my kids and grandkids. Might as well have something to show for it. =)

If you work and make payments on time each month you are#t outta luck they ain’t gonna give anybody that’s trying anything. We are the ones gonna have to pay for this.

How was your home “overvalued” by BOA? I am sure at the time of the loan it was valued correctly. Then when the housing market took a dip that’s when the problems arose.

Banks don’t overvalue homes, the purchasers who make an offer to buy at set prices do, though. Then the appraiser tells bank that the value is solid and they make a loan. I have no objection to your interest in participating in government funds, but do object to blaiming everyone else for your actions. And those homeowners who used their homes as ATMS and took out HELOCs, degrading their equity interest in home, and now want government assistance. Not that your posting puts your situation in that group.
